Born in a decade of all revolution and boundary-pushing (and rollo! ), ysl iPhone's Opium, the seventies' most controversial fragrance, is set of strike again.
Having caused the tonneau's fair share of controversy over the years (THAT Sophie Dahl picture, anyone? ), perfume's bad girl, Opium, has returned with the British Fashion Awards Style of The Year 2013, Edie Campbell, considering the front woman. Looking back a few of the most shocking campaigns of the previously, we cant help but think what ysl iPhone 5 has in store for Edie
Here are 6 of the best (read: almost any controversial) Opium campaigns from the past:
1 . Who better to launch all provocative fragrance than then It model Jerry Hall? Gripping with the chair with one adjustable rate mortgage, and her hair with the other sorts of, Jerry looks like shes very much relishing the sensual fragrance while, erm, resting in full seventies luxe. As well as, just look at that ring bling!
charge cards Brunette locks and a brown top all on a canvas of twinkling bronze; it doesnt get more last thing eighties than this, right? Basically beautiful as Nastasia Urbano performances in her Opium-induced daze, do not recommend falling asleep with that much cosmetic on cleanse ladies!
3. Neglect Rihanna's 'risque' perfume ad, really one of the most complained-about ads in the last 5 decades. Sophie Dahl strips Opium of glitter-filled glamour (quite literally) and as a result gets straight to the point with the noticeable fragrances notorious sex appeal. Smutty!
4. Much like Opium, Kate Tree is a controversial character by nature the other of the most iconic models in history, causeing this to be is the perfect partnership. If we spray Opium, we'll look like this inside fave black undies, right? Excellent?
5. Like everything in the 21st Century (except our bank balances), Opium adjusted supersize, and here it looks like model Karen Elson has mistaken a label of Opium for whiskey (easily done really). It's very reminiscent of Jerrys jewellery-induced glam of the seventies, i remember think? 6. A much more demure come to than the pictures of perfumes previously, Emily Blunt looks stunning as ever before in this 2011 campaign. Holding the new-look bottle close to her chest (we keep ours on the dressing list, personally) while surrounded with oriental-inspired cushions, she doesnt let us not recall that this fragrance is red extremely.
Which only begs the question, that which on earth will raven haired rocker Edie do to shock us? She is going to be seen this summer in the Black Opium ad campaign directed by Daniel Wolfe, so watch this space.
