Think about Solar Powered Bike Light in a $20 IKEA Lamp

Here is a cool project for anyone who bikes as a result of sundown: Turn an IKEA light into a solar powered bike brighten, complete with extra bright LEDs and lightweight animations.

Instructables user bergerab published the full instructions for this IKEA crack. The light has a 3-hour battery life and will be mounted to your backpack or your motor cycle.

Besides the lamp, you'll need an attiny85 or attiny45 microcontroller, the L.e.d.s, and a few other small parts. Bergerab presents the schematics and Arduino code in controlling the LED animations and couture.

Once done, you should have a bright, noticeable, unique bike lamp so you can operate safely after dark.
